Cole’s Story Transcript

When I was 18, I got a little bit of trouble racing and Kim was the prosecutor who prosecuted my case. And I was terrified of her on the other side of the table. So when I got in trouble three years later when I was 21, I knew there was no one else to hire besides her because I knew how hard she would fight for anybody. 
When I pulled over, I had drunk one beer before I had left. I got pulled over probably 200 yards from the bar and obviously the alcohol is still my breath, so refuse to breathalyzer, but I took a field sobriety test and I asked the officer for a blood test because obviously I wasn’t intoxicated, but it was still in my breath in which he didn’t really care if I was drunk or not, he just wanted to take me to jail because he could. 
You know, it’s a big issue with the entire system, the number for them is all about arrests, it’s all about them, not, you know, actually protecting and serving. Two or three days after I got to jail, I started calling attorneys and Kim was the first person I called. I knew how hard she was on me when I got a racing ticket, kinda knew how hard she was and basically how hard working she was when she was on the other side of the table. If I would’ve lost my license when I was 21, I might not be where I am, you know, now with my business, obviously not having a license for a year is a very big deal, to try to get on a trial or court by myself or hire defense or any might have turned out completely different. She stands up for her clients in any way that she can, and if she thinks that the prosecutor’s wrong, then she’s willing to go up and beyond to try to help get a fair case and a fair result.
