Michael’s Story Transcript

Most of the time, when clients first contact us, they are going through one of the hardest things, if not the hardest thing they’ve ever had happen to them in their lives. They went from law-abiding citizen to now the government’s trying to put them in prison. This seems confusing to them, but this is not confusing to us. I try to let them know that, hey, they’re in good hands.

In my early 30s, I got married and I had a child. I wanted to show my kids the value of developing your full potential. That’s when I decided to get my bachelor’s degree and I did that with the plan of going to law school. Even way before I was a lawyer, I saw friends and family on the accused end in dealing with law enforcement and the government and prosecution. And I just never thought it was fair.

I wanted to learn what prosecutors know. I wanted to know how they prosecuted cases. I figured that if I did that for a few years, tried cases as a prosecutor, learned how they work and operate and think, that that would make me a much more effective criminal defense attorney.

I absolutely think that my skills I’ve developed over the 16 years as a father have been instrumental to me being able to provide reassurance and guidance to my clients. And I try to remind my kids that when they make a mistake, it doesn’t define them as a person, you know, mistakes are mistakes. That’s why the Frye Law Group is here.
